Take Waste Out of the Environment

Plastic bags and household hazardous waste have one thing in common –Franklin County
residents can participate in free community drop-off opportunities.

Reduce Plastic Bag and Wrap Waste

The fall launch of a new plastic bag and wrap recycling campaign, Bring Me Back, is laying the foundation for increased recycling and decreased usage of plastic bags and wraps in our community.

SWACO, in conjunction with the City of Columbus and over 25 retailers, continue to educate and encourage residents and businesses to recycle used plastic bags and plastic wrap, and to reduce the use of this material in the future.

Join In
Residents, families and businesses can locate a participating recycling location by visiting SWACO.org/BringMeBack.

Community event organizers and local retailers in Franklin County are encouraged to join the awareness campaign. Simply download the program materials, add your logo and begin distributing the information at public events and meetings.
