All loads in open vehicles or trailers MUST BE TARPED before coming to the landfill.

Morse Road

The SWACO Morse Road Transfer Station is located at 4260 Morse Road on the North side of Columbus. It services The City of Columbus as well as commercial waste haulers. Due to safety concerns, residents are not permitted to use SWACO Transfer Stations. Haulers with a credit agreement with the Authority may dispose of municipal solid waste at the transfer station. *All customers must have a tarp on their loads when they enter the Franklin County Sanitary Landfill.

*All customers must wear a vest on the landfill if they exit their vehicle.

For your convenience, tarps and high visibility safety vests may be purchased at the Franklin County Sanitary Landfill Scale House.  

Pricing:
Large tarp (10'x18') - $15.00 
Small tarp (8' x 16') - $10.00
Vest - $5.00


Rates - $55.75 per ton with a $5.00 minimum charge*
*On 4/1/17, tipping fee rates will be reduced by $3.00 per ton at the Transfer Stations and Landfill.

Saturday, Sunday & Holidays: Closed

On New Years Day, Monday, January 2nd, 2017, the Franklin County Sanitary Landfill will be open regular hours. The Morse Road Transfer Station will be open from 5 am to 1 pm.


Directions

From Downtown Columbus take interstate 71 North to interstate 670 East. Exit interstate 670 to interstate 270 North. Exit interstate 270 North to Morse Road East. The transfer station is approximately ½ mile on the north side of Morse Road.



Jackson Pike

The Jackson Pike Transfer Station is located at 2566 Jackson Pike (route 104) on the South Side of the City of Columbus. It services The City of Columbus as well as commercial waste haulers. Due to safety concerns, residents are not permitted to use SWACO Transfer Stations. Haulers with a credit agreement with the Authority may dispose of municipal solid waste at the transfer station. Rates - $54.75 per ton with a $5.00 minimum charge*
*On 4/1/17, tipping fee rates will be reduced by $3.00 per ton at the Transfer Stations and Landfill.

Directions

From downtown Columbus, take interstate 71 south towards Grove City (Jackson Township). Exit the interstate at Frank Road and head east, turning right (south) immediately after the bridge onto Jackson Pike. The Jackson Pike Transfer Station is located approximately a mile south on the left (east) side of the road. Please note: The entrance to the Transfer Station is shared with Martin Marietta Aggregates.
